Umbraco Websites

WGHS & QEGS

The brief

Wakefield Girls High School and Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, both part of the Wakefield Grammar School Foundation each wanted a new landing page to help promote a virtual open day in response to the restrictions imposed by 2020's lockdowns and tier system.

What we did

We created all singing, all dancing, fully interactive landing pages for both schools, that clearly gave parents all the relevant information they needed and made it fun and engaging for prespective students too.

Back to the "smartboard" for UX design

UX had a huge role to play in the design of these landing pages, as they required lots of large images and video content in order to showcase both schools to their full potential. As well as this, it was important to take into account the user experience and interaction design at every stage of the user journey, making it as easy as possible for prospective students and their parents to navigate their way through the content. Once this was solidified, our talented team of designers were then able to add in the colour schemes and fonts, based on each of the schools branding.

Umbraco, Umbraco, Umbraco!

This project for the Wakefield Grammar School Foundation was completed using the Umbraco CMS. This ensured both Wakefield Girls High School and Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School had full control over the content included on each of their respective landing pages. This flexibility and editability also ensured content could be changed quickly and effectively to help keep messaging up to date, despite the fast changing pace of the pandemic and relevant goverment guidelines.

Extra brownie points...

Since go live, the client has requested further domains which means they can be used for other campaigns they run in the future AND we even got a little Google Review. Safe to say they were happy and we’re going to have a busy couple of months ahead of us.
