Website Design & Build

Westward Care

The brief

As Westward Care are a leading luxury retirement living and care provider, they needed a website that matched their values and their vision. The new website needed to clearly present the care and apartments offered alongside utilising a simple user journey that would help achieve the enquiries they needed.

What we did

We created an accessible and search engine friendly new website that successfully showcases the luxury living and excellent care available from Westward Care, across their three locations in Leeds.

A fully responsive, content managed website

Westward Care were keen throughout this project to take care of their own website content, allowing them to really showcase their expertise and unique brand identity. That meant we needed to deliver and easy to use, fully content managed website that would look great across all screen sizes.  We created a simple and effective navigation and ensured the design and functionality conformed to the current accessibility standards.

Building the brand

With their long history in the care and retirement sector, Westward Care already had a distinct and well established brand to work with. Our task was to simply refresh that brand for a new digital audience and deliver a website design that helped highlight their high levels of care and accommodation. Westward Care's own photography was also to form a key part of the design, helping to replicate the community spirit within each of Westward Care's three locations, online. Stock photography was largely avoided in favour of featuring real staff and real residents wherever possible. The result, is a truly unique website design that is modern and honest.

From go live to new growth

From the very begining of the project the site was built with search engine optimisation in mind, to help improve Westward Care's visibility on search engine results pages . Google analytics tracking was added and a Google Search Console account was also created to help measure the impact and performance of the new site. Page specific metadata was created and implemented site wide and since go live we are continued to optimise the site. We also introduced highly targeted PPC campaigns as a new traffic source to help push and support Westward Care and their reputation as a leader in luxury retirement living.
