MTech are an official Microsoft Partner specialising in Microsoft Dynamics and Office 365 installations and ongoing IT support. MTech approached Pixelbuilders to design and build a new, responsive website, which showcased their core services and their wealth of insightful, industry leading content in an accessible and friendly way, without compromising their technical expertise.
One of the biggest challenges we had when it came to thinking about the build of the site was around the delivery of content and how users would navigate around the site. With a vast amount of content around the services on offer, we needed to streamline the presentation and delivery of this content in order to not overwhelm the user.
One strategy we made use involved making use of iconography to help categorise and organise the services. Making use of a breadcrumb and clear end user journeys also would allow us to ensure that navigation was kept simple throughout the site and that the user had a clear end goal; which would be to get in touch with the team.
The website design for MTech was inspired my Microsoft’s own Windows 10 interface, using a tile design to clearly display key content. This also ensured the look and feel of the new MTech website was familiar to Microsoft users, creating a subliminal brand consistency between the two companies.
This tile approach also ensures large amounts of content can be displayed in a simple and easy to navigate way, which is important for delivering a good user experience and successfully guiding users towards key data capture points on the MTech website.
To balance the expertise of MTech and the complexity of their services with the need for clear communication and accessibility, the design also ensures content is well spaced, displayed in digestible chunks and avoids unnecessary jargon.
MTech’s new website was built using Kentico 9, providing a full suite of content management functionality to accommodate MTech’s ongoing digital marketing strategy. A HTML5 video banner was implemented to create visual impact and the use of this latest coding technology is in keeping with MTech’s own focus on delivering up to date IT and technology solutions.
Case study pages employ bespoke functionality which maximises the available content and the download feature creates a clear data capture point. Twitter integration links the website with MTech’s other digital channels unifying their online presence and the third party integration with Pure Chat delivers an additional customer touch point.
