The brief

Harrogate Town FC were on the path to promotion and felt they needed a new website design to match their current success and to support their future success. We wanted to create a site that would help their fans feel “Proud To Be Town” and work as key touchpoint for them when buying match tickets and merchandise, hiring pitches and keeping up to date with the latest fixtures and match commentary.

We delivered a fully responsive ecommerce website built on easy to use CMS, with multiple integrations, helping to increase revenue and support the goals of Harrogate Town FC.

Optimised for success

We made sure the new website for Harrogate Town FC was fully optimised for search engines by employing the latest SEO techniques and best practices. Sitewide 301 mapping ensured the exisiting site URLs were effectively and efficiently redirected to their new counterparts as well, preserving any historical SEO. We also took advantage of Kentico's content management system to implement unique metadata throughout the site.

Build & Intergrations

A key requirement for the internal team at Harrogate Town was to have the freedom and flexibility to create and edit their own content on demand. With this in mind, the website build was widget driven and mobile first focused. This gave Harrogate Town FC the editability they needed and also created a site that is easy for fans to navigate and use.

Another key requirement was to seamlessly integrate Harrogate Town's legacy systems in order to keep consistency and familiarity for the internal teams. This included integrating with data feeds from, a ticket purchasing integration with Fatsoma and a facility booking system,

We have continued supporting Harrogate Town with expert advice and support for the website itself, as well as also taking on their PPC management which to date, has resulted in multiple great campaigns and a nomination in the Northern Digital Marketing Awards.
