The objective
To use the Unreal gaming engine to revolutionise the new home buying journey, rethinking how customers explore and choose their new home, and how development data flows internally at Strata Homes.
What we did
This web-first interface ensures the quality of the user interface never degrades through streaming, experiences respond cleanly across devices and device specific journeys can be delivered without compromise, respecting the user experience of the nearly 80% of users accessing the platform on mobile devices.
This cohesive and uninterrupted experience between Strata’s website and the Unreal Engine is supported behind the scenes by a reusable framework. Shared logic, visual standards and data structures ensure consistency without rigidity and speed without compromise; crucial in a market where planning stages and site conditions can change quickly.
Another key innovation here, was the introduction of visual “stages”: concept, pre-application, and operational, allowing developments in the virtual world of MyHomeFinder to evolve visually alongside the real-world planning and build process, avoiding premature or misleading representation of the new homes being built. In combination, these innovations reduced production time and maximised the long-term value of MyHomeFinder.

The impact was immediate!
Following launches across three developments, weekly sales doubled on one site within a week, engagement with My Home Finder averaged 24 hours per week and load times decreased from 16 –20 seconds, to just 6 – 8 seconds as a direct result of pixel-streaming optimisation.
Overall, My Home Finder has delivered a 40% increase in revenue since launch, a 6% increase in lead to sale conversion and an amazing 6000% increase in ROI.
