A little more about meAndy originally came from a background of PC and server support within a service desk role, but he's always had a keen eye for all things development since the age of 14. He joined the Pixelbuilders team in October 2013 and has since become an integral part of the team and one of our Senior Developers.

Project Spotlight - Bell Merchandise
This project gave me an excuse to try out new techniques and approaches using modern CSS styling practices where I was able to successfully and properly use CSS Grid and Flexbox for the first proper time; which involved less markup overall compared to previous approaches. I also discovered an ability to manage the outputted HTML for better content and resource delivery which was particularly useful for Google PageSpeed Insights scores.

Development was enjoyable as the design remained consistant and uncomplicated which allowed me to standardise a coding practice which should ease future development and developers. I particularly enjoyed working on the Checkout system as it involved creating a checkout from scratch due to the nature of how basket items were grouped together by product sizes and colour.
