Behind the Scenes - Pixel's First Quarter

The Big Move

What an exciting start to 2019!!! we have moved offices and are now based on the 2nd floor of the East Wing of The Tannery.
The Directors moved everything in over the weekend and the office was smoothly up and running first thing Monday morning with minimal fuss. The new office is fabulous, we have stuck with the same themes and colours as it reflects us perfectly. The office is larger and brighter with an informal break out/meeting area and separate kitchen/dining area with extra space for our all-important pool table. The Boardroom is also bigger which will come in useful when we hold internal team meetings and meetings with our larger clients.

This office is officially named Pixel 6.0 as it’s the sixth office we have accommodated due to the amazing growth and success of the company over the last 9 years. Starting off in Andy’s bedroom way back when with 3 fresh faced youths having the vision, commitment and determination to create something quite special. This office still has the capacity for further growth with the added bonus of keeping it in the same much-loved building.

We couldn’t let this monumental occasion pass without a real celebration. So, in true Pixel style the team all put together to have a cake specially designed and made to show our appreciation and to say thank you to Andy A, Martin H and Martin O for all their hard work with the successful move and for creating a workspace that makes coming to work a pleasure.

Sharing the Love on Valentine's Day

We definitely felt the love in the office during Valentine’s Day this year with a special request from one of our clients. The old romantic in question called and asked if we would buy a single red rose for his wife on his behalf as she was attending a meeting at Pixel towers and he wouldn’t be seeing her on that day.

As always, we at Pixel went above and beyond for our clients with Gabbi buying the rose and Rachael making it into a special arrangement along with a lovely card – this just highlights the kind of relationship we create with our clients.

Fire, Fire, Fire!!!

February also saw Pixel announce its 3 new fire Marshalls. This well-chosen group consists of Rachael Hand, Andy Boot and Matt Lewis. Chosen for their sensible, responsible and calm demeanours but also because if they shout you would definitely stop and listen. Our outside H&S company came in to do the training - looking at videos, escape routes and potential hazards within the office.

Turns out Andy Boot already knew the different classes of fire extinguishers, not only is he a wealth of knowledge when it comes to all things IT and web design but he knows what to do when confronted by a fire involving combustible materials, flammable liquids and electrical equipment – who knew………
