With our growing expertise working with health and palliative care charities and practitioners we were appointed by Martin House to enhance and expand their digital capacity through the redesign and development the Martin House website.

The new site needed to be fully responsive across multiple device types and it needed to be easily managed through the implementation of a secure and robust CMS. An enhanced user journey and simplified process of donating, booking onto events and volunteering was also key for generate a good return on their invesment in digital.

Design & User Experience

The website design has been a key part of its success. We needed to use bright and bold colours to help put across what is quite a difficult subject. The creativity of the design has led to the site winning Bronze in the Fresh Awards in the public/third sector category and has been shortlisted for a Northern Digital Award in the Best Marketing Campaign in the third sector.

The website was developed on the Kentico CMS in ASP.NET. As with the goals of the project, the website is fully responsive and allows users on mobiles, tablets and desktops to make donations, book on events and buy gifts as easily as possible.

Data capture points are key and were developed to not only email through the information to the relevant parties, but also store securely the submissions and process information to allow integration with their CRM.

Outcome

In just over 3 months, the website has seen a significant increase in traffic. This rise has seen a growth in the number of donations and event bookings.Bounce rate has also dropped across desktop, tablet and mobile devices and mobile page visits have increased and time on site has been doubled
