It's time to meet Chris

24 July, 2012

The pixelbuilders.com team has continued its expansion with the arrival of Chris Dent, our new developer. Computing graduate Chris brings with him a wide range of web development skills, having been working with PHP, ASP.NET, C# and .NET since his uni days, and we’re thrilled to have him on board.

But Chris is far more than just a web developer, as we found out when we had a bit of a Q&A session with the new boy…

So, Chris. What do you love about working with the web?

“Working online gives me the opportunity to create a wide variety of different web solutions to meet the demands of a wide variety of different clients. From websites and company intranets to web systems and ecommerce, no two web solutions are the same and neither are the clients.

“I love being involved in the development of these projects to improve how a client can conduct and grow their business through effective use of the web and increase their web presence at the same time.”

But we know there’s more to you than that. Describe your interests.

“I’m a noisy neighbour. I’ve been drumming for seven years and have passed my Grade 5 drumming exam. Because of my love for drums and percussion I can’t help tapping my feet or my hands on the desk whenever there’s music playing. I haven’t had any complaints from the rest of the team – yet!

“I also love live music and going to festivals. I’m always on the lookout for new gigs and my favourite bands and artists touring – distance is never an issue.

“And in a bid to hold on to my childhood, I still play old PlayStation games – Crash Bandicoot and Tomb Raider being a couple of all-time favourites.”

And what’s the best thing about working here?

“I love the working environment at pixelbuilders.com. This allows for great communication among the team and means that client projects and workflow aren’t affected. Everybody plays an equal part and everybody’s opinion counts and is welcome.

“But the best thing about working for pixelbuilders.com? The opportunity to work on such a wide variety of projects, no two days are ever the same.”
