Kentico Named a Challenger in Gartner’s 2016 Magic Quadrant

As we’re sure you know by now, Pixelbuilders are incredibly proud to be a Kentico Gold Partner, so today we’re helping our favourite content management system (CMS) celebrate their latest achievement.

For the first time, Kentico has been named a “challenger” in Gartner’s 2016 Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management.

This report, compiled by the US research firm evaluates content management vendors info four categories:

Leaders: these are the firms that should drive market transformation, be prepared for the future, with a clear vision and a thorough appreciation of the broader content of digital business.

Challengers: these are solid vendors that can perform well for many enterprises. They have a strong web content management product.

Visionaries: these are forward thinking and technically focused vendors.

Niche Players: these are, as the name suggests, vendors that focus on a particular market segment, defined by characteristics such as size and industry.

We believe that as a Challenger, Kentico has been positively evaluated on their “completeness of vision” and their “ability to execute”, and with over 25,000 websites now running Kentico worldwide, and a network of over 1,000 digital agency partners, making it onto Gartner’s Magic Quadrant is a brilliant acknowledgement of Kentico’s vision and hard work so far.

The other Challengers named in the report include OpenText, SDL and Progress, while the Leaders include big names such as Adobe, Sitecore, IBM, Oracle and others. With Kentico now firmly on the Magic Quadrant, we’re excited to see where they place in next year’s analysis.

While we wait though, Gartner has given the industry some food for thought, by announcing the three factors they see shaping the future of the web content management market. These are advanced technology, ease of use, especially for non-IT professionals and ambitious goals from users’ digital strategies.

Watch this space.
